So last Thursday Serene, Gavin, Kylie and I got together to take the best engagement shoot photos ever in the New Forest. We were blessed with some gorgeous sunshine, epic locations, colours and wild ponies. It’s a good thing the sun did actually set because I could have gone on all day. Serene and Gavin flew over from Singapore, back to the UK where they first met at university. We met up at their hotel where Kylie worked her magic. After tea we headed out in to the warm sunshine for some couple portraits.

Back in the day I went to university in Southampton – quite close to the New Forest area. I often drove through it and thought it would make an incredible location for photography. So I jumped at the chance to photograph Serene and Gavin there. It was great to meet them both and hang out with such nice people. My job is often a happy dream. After we had exhausted what the New Forest had to offer we headed to a pebbly beach for a few photographs at sunset.

It was great to head down to Brighton last weekend and hang out with Laura and Darren. I’ve not been to Brighton before but I’ve always heard such good things. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a colourful city in both personality and architecture. We were blessed with sun and plenty of wind. Thankfully we found shelter in a few unsuspecting locations. We walked along the pier, the beach, next to rubbish bins, through a Jaguar car display, up steps, down steps, parks, colourful streets and through a nationalist protest. The usual engagement shoot locations really.

Caroline and Duncan came to Bristol – here is a little snapshot of our shoot in 5 frames. I do have a little story about Duncan who suffered a dislocated elbow and a few stitches above his right eye – but photoshop covers most of this. What a gorgeous couple – I’m really looking forward to their wedding a little later this year in Cambridge.

Paul and Nicky had a shoot in North Somerset a few weeks ago. The sun shone and the sky turned blue. I really looking forward to their wedding in a few weeks time. They have a rodeo.

Sarah and John came to Bristol and bought the fun. I’m really looking forward to their wedding a little later this year, even more so now I know them both a little better. We were so lucky to have sunny weather for the shoot – hopefully this is a good omen for their outside ceremony (fingers crossed!) It was great to get out and enjoy the warm sunshine with them, take photos and laugh as the red balloons eventually floated away from the ‘secure’ knot we tied. Thank you both for a lovely afternoon. You were both excellent models! Can we do it again next Sunday?

Emma, Adam and I took part in the coldest engagement shoot in history. Fact. That said we made the best of the coldest, wintery-est  day and wondered around the lovely Bristol on a slow Sunday afternoon. I’ve known Emma and Adam for years and can’t wait to see them both tie the knot later this year. We met through mutual friends back in Southampton during the ‘uni years’ and attended a few random house parties ) Since we’ve all moved away from Hampshire now it was great catch up, chat weddings and hear all about how they got engaged,

Here are a few photographs of Jinny and Tom. Jinny suggested we head out in to the Gloucestershire countryside for a their pre wedding shoot. We were blessed with sun.

I met with Lizzie and Keith on a snowy day in Bath. It was fareezing. Just as I thought spring had arrived! We braved it out and walked and laughed our way around Bath. It was great to finally meet them – as we’d only spoken before on the phone, and there really is nothing like meeting in person. We took photos and talked about stag and hen do’s, dogs and how they first met. These two are getting married very soon and I can’t wait to be a part of their day. Enjoy the photos!

Sarah & Ewan came to Bristol. Springtime in Bristol is always pretty, with it’s many blossoms emerging. We wandered around Clifton on our photo shoot. It was great to finally Sarah and Ewan, who get married a little later this year. I’m REALLY looking forward to the big day especially now I know them a little better. Here’s a little peek at what we got up to.

On Monday I headed off to Surrey to meet Rosie and Tom for a chat, a venue visit and a few photographs in the spring sunshine. After looking around their gorgeous venue we headed off to some nearby country countryside and walked drove to the top of a hill. The afternoon weather was warm and bright, and at that time of year gloriously golden. I’m really looking forward to their wedding later this year in the lovely Surrey countryside. I genuinely feel very lucky to have such great people hire me and Rosie and Tom were great fun to hang out with. Their wedding will be an incredible celebration and a lot of fun.

My favourite part of the day was listening to them recount the story of their engagement with such excitement. They got engaged in New York, and Tom decided to ask the big question outside a restaurant on Union Street. I won’t go in to much more detail, other than to say it was one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever heard.
