A few months ago I headed up to sunny Yorkshire for Laura and Nic’s Swarcliffe Hall wedding (#PudFozWedding) – it was an incredible day. The weather was freakishly hot for the time of year (yay!) and the drive was glorious. I’d been looking forward to their wedding so much. As Laura is a Cosmo columnist I knew their wedding would be all kinds of fun. And so it was! Laura and Nic, their friends and family were some of the nicest people I ever did meet.
I started off in the morning at the family home with Laura, her parents and b-maids. It was great to work alongside hairstylist William Priestley and makeup artist Gemma Tyler. The awesome duo of Cornerstone Cinema were also there, capturing the story of the day on video. Laura wore a beautiful Angelina Colarusso Gown with unmistakable Christian Louboutin shoes. Nic was hooked up with a Jack Bunneys made to measure suit.
We then headed to St John Fisher Chapel in Harrogate for the ceremony. It doubled as the background where Laura and Nic first met. The ceremony was made extra special as we were serenaded by the Revelation Singers. I’m a huge fan of gospel music and the choir were superb. After hugs, smiles and confetti outside we headed off to Swarcliffe Hall. I could go on to talk about Swarcliffe Hall for some time but I’ll keep it short and summarise that the views over the surrounding countryside were jaw dropping.
Where Angels Play did a great job with the wedding flowers (way too many photographs of these!) and Yesteryear Vehicles and Superior Motor Cars provided the coolest vintage wedding transport (also way too many photographs of these!) in getting guests to the wedding reception in style. After an epic wedding feast, speeches and the biggest of cake cuts the evening ended with the first dance before we headed outside to watch fireworks. Thank you so much for having me along, I honestly feel privileged to have been your wedding photographer.
