Summer wedding at St Audries Park

It was great to return to St Audries Park for Cora and Neil’s summer wedding. Cora and Neil were one of those couples that said ‘yes, we like your work, we’re booking you!’ – and so I only met them on the day. Fortunately as they both got ready at St Audries Park I could meet them before the ceremony and get to know them a little.

It’s a great drive down to St Andries Park, I kept my fingers crossed that the weather would hold. It was my first time as a St Audries Park wedding photographer to photograph the ceremony in the orangery. It was beautiful, spacious, full of light and character.

One memorable anecdote I have is of the florist (who did an impeccable job (almost!) but she only made 4 bouquets for Cora and her 4 bridesmaids. We only noticed with 40 minutes to go before the ceremony. The staff called the florist, who hastily made another and came back in time for the ceremony! Fortunately the wedding could go on!

The ceremony was great, as Cora walked out of the house everyone could see her (except Neil I think!) as she walked to the Orangery with her bridesmaids. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed cocktails on the lawn. Cocktails that Cora and Neil invented, and then named them after their friends and family. We took a few family photos outside and enjoyed the awesome lawn games. Having a summer wedding at St Audries Park means we were able to enjoy a long evening out in the sun.

As it was a summer wedding it got dark quite late. In fact, a short while after the first dance we went out to see an amazing sunset. We walked through a field to catch the last rays of light and a view out on to the sea.

It was great to see so many of their friends and family at the wedding. In fact, guests came as far away as Ghana for the wedding! Family and friends helped out a lot with Cora’s mum making the confetti cones and decorating the baskets and her friends hand making all of the favours.

Anyway, enough talk – on with the summery photos. Do also see the winter wedding photography at St Andries Park for more and more of my work as a St Andries Park wedding photographer.
