Autumn Mount Without Wedding

It was great to return in autumn to The Mount Without wedding venue in central Bristol for the third time. I was actually chatting with guests who had lived in Bristol for many years. We were chatting about how they didn’t know, and most people didn’t know about the venue. It’s really well hidden. Unless you lived next door I don’t think you’d have any idea it was there! I actually like to think of it as an anti-wedding venue. In that all the staff are so relaxed and friendly – there’s very little formality and it couldn’t be more young hearted.

My favourite part of the day from Brad & Charlotte’s autumn wedding has to be the oyster bar! Yes you heard that right. Down in the crypt under The Mount Without they set up an oyster bar. One of the key photos was getting guests eating oysters. I’ve only had this once before in France – and I love little details like this that make every wedding different. They also went without the wedding cake and cut a ginormous pizza!

Photographing inside The Mount Without was effortless even in the darker autumn. Everything just looks so good and it’s a really nice space to be in.

Shout outs to the other amazing local Bristol suppliers who all played their part in making it come together.

As Brad hails from New Zealand quite a few of his family and friends made it over. That was a serious commitment and I made sure to take some extra good photos of them!

I was fortunate enough to stay until midnight on this one and the party went off hard at 10pm and barely let up. There was a lot of nakedness which frankly is a sign of a good wedding!

If you’d like to see more of my work as a Mount Without wedding photographer then check these out too.

Huge thanks to brad and Charlotte for having me. I had been secretly waiting for a long time for this one and I remember how thrilled I was when they booked me. I can’t believe it’s over so soon but here are my favourite photographs from their autumn wedding. Enjoy!
