Joanna & Nick | Babington House | Wedding
Babington House Wedding Photographer
Joanna and Nick’s Babington House wedding was incredible. A day spent at a beautiful venue in Somerset not far from my home in Bristol.
It was so much fun to photograph and truly memorable for so many reasons and it ranks highly as one of my favourite wedding venues. Of course you’ll find a few of these in my wedding photography portfolio.
Firstly Joanna and Nick’s special day was a beautiful spring day. In addition, sunny blue skies and warm sun was great to feel after the winter.
Since the ducks were out walking around in the gardens taking photographs was a complete joy. I started photographing the bridal preparation and had the chance to meet InParlour makeup. Due to having their talents they did a great job beautifying all of the bridesmaids.
The Ceremony at Babington House
Joanna wore a beautiful Reem Acra Eternity gown from Brown’s Brides and slipped on Manolo Blahnik shoes to match. Flowers by Passion made the most beautiful wedding bouquets. It was great to hang out with everyone in the morning, and whilst it’s unassuming it has to be one of my favourite parts of the day. I’m a big fan of Coral and so I loved the bridesmaids dresses from Colette Dinnigan (and Christian Louboutin shoes.)
The guys suited up with suits from Indochino and looked every bit the part. As everyone got ready at Babington House I was able to get a few extra photos of the guests.
One of my favourite features of the venue is there little private chapel. It was charm overload! It’s the kind of venue where you can take wide landscape photographs as well as detailed shots and it all fits together beautifully. My favourite photos of the day? Seeing Joanna and Nick walk out of the little chapel with big smiles into the sunshine.
It’s a big moment walking down the aisle together and I remember walking out of the chapel and being greeted by a big blue sty. It was a great moment.
The speeches were epic. It was if they had been professionally written and rehearsed. It was a pleasant surprise to see Nick and Joanna hit the dance floor with some sort of quick step fast moving dance. Even better was to see their guests reactions. The band (whose name escapes me!) had everyone up dancing – and as you can see it was full on. Thank you so much to the staff at Babington House who looked after me so well.
