Rebecca & Dan | Wedding | Banwell Castle

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Dan’s wedding at Banwell Castle. It was a FUN (but emotional) day. The ceremony was beautiful. It’s true to say that having a small gathering of close family and friends seems to make the atmosphere more intimate. That said as the guests arrived in the evening the laughter, screams and shouting got louder! In fact you will notice from the photographs that the further down the page you go the more raucous the scene!

Aside from the celebrations there were some great details to photograph. It was clear Rebecca had put a lot of thought in to the details of the day which I know will make an excellent separate blog post. These included an English tea party in the afternoon complete with china sets, sandwiches and scones with cream. The tables looked beautiful and the whole room was stylishly decorated. Banwell castle was a great choice of venue. It is an old quirky home set in beautiful grounds – the sort you can only find in England. There were peacocks, lots of beautiful autumn colours and the house was filled with all sorts of oddities!

It is always hard to choose the ‘best’ photographs of the day and this wedding was no different.
