Gaby & Stuart | Couple Shoot | Croyde
So last friday I headed down to Croyde for a beach engagement shoot with Gaby and Stuart. On the drive down I encountered some pretty mixed weather and at one point I couldn’t see 200 yards in front of the car due to rain. At this point I normally call ahead and ask whether we should reschedule. But, based on my phone’s weather app I was promised sunshine and so I continued.
It was totally worth it. The beach looked beautiful (as it probably always does.) We wondered around the bay, up dunes, down rocks and around the town. It’s a great little spot, and if you’ve not been before and I definitely recommend it as a good location for photos. It is so ‘Little England’ with beautiful small houses, stone walls and ducks sitting in the village stream. I’m really looking forward to Stuart and Gaby’s wedding in a few weeks, and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for similar sunny weather. It makes everything look beautiful, and to have such a great landscape, epic shots have every time you press the shutter button.
A huge thank you to Gabby and Stuart for recommending the beach – I take no credit for that. And also for walking as far as we did! Hopefully the sand has made it’s way out of your shoes and you’ve recovered from the wind 🙂 Here are some of my favourite photographs.
