Vanessa & Phil | Beechfield House | Wedding

Beechfield House Wedding Photography

It’s finally time to blog Vanessa and Phil’s Beechfield House wedding photography. You may have seen the Chinese Wedding Games in my previous posts which happened the day before their wedding. Luckily, as you can see the weather cleared and the sun came out to shine on their wedding day.

Beechfield House is a beautiful venue and Vanessa and Phil are two of the loveliest people I’ve met.

Getting to meet so many amazing people is something I love about my job. Their sense of fun, adventure and positivity really struck me before the wedding. It was no surprise that their family and friends were were equally as lovely to be around.

Their Story

So let me share the fun and tell you a little about their day. It was incredibly personal and a very intimate wedding with around 60 guests. Phil’s father married them in the local church in Coombe Down. It was hard not to be moved by the ceremony, it was really touching. Outside the church they were greeted by their guests who threw lavender confetti. It smelled incredible, but judging by the photos it looked like it hurt quite a bit and got in places that you don’t want lavender!

We then headed to Beechfield House for the afternoon reception. We started with the cutting of the cake and their guests were served ice cream from Icicle Tricycle a vintage ice cream vendor from Exeter. With beautiful letterpress wedding stationary, home brewed beer, cocktails (where the coasters were the table plan) and a FEAST of cakes in the evening. There was plenty to photograph!

Both Phil and Vanessa changed outfits for their first dance where Vanessa said goodbye to her Jimmy Choo shoes and they slipped on customised Converse wedding shoes to help them dance the night away.

It was humbling to be a part of their day and I wish you both as much fun, love and adventure as the day itself.
