2014 | Review
In long standing tradition here is my best wedding photography of 2014. A pictorial review of the year. 1 image from each wedding, and a few pre wedding shoots thrown in for good measure. I still have 4 weddings left a few more gems to add. But putting this wedding photography highlight feature together has been great fun. If a little nostalgic. Next year I’ll sadly have to reduce the amount of weddings I can go to. There are a few reasons for this, but I guess the most important is that my wife and I are going to have a baby (yikes!) It’s a pretty exciting time. But as a result I know I won’t have as much time next year for work. As anyone who is self employed will know, it’s almost impossible for work not to take over your life. I love to immerse myself in my work. It’s just so much fun and a massive motivation for my creativity. So cutting back is really disappointing to me. Each and every wedding I go to is special and I love being a small part of the day. Creating a record of what happened.
Some of my wedding highlights include this beach wedding in Bournemouth. I travelled as far north as the lake district and as far south as the Med to do wedding photography in Portugal. I found a few new favourite venues to add to the list. This Notley Abbey wedding took my breathe away as well as Cain Manor where I had the most fun. I travelled to Cheshire and West Sussex for these ‘back garden weddings.’ Also check out this London engagement shoot and this UK engagement shoot in the countryside. A huge thank you to everyone I have worked with this year. Jamie, Sam, Tom and Jonny have been massive helps who I couldn’t have done without.
A huge thank you to all the couples and families I’ve met this year. A merry Christmas to you all and I wish you the happiest of new years.
