Cassidy & Jack | Borgo Bastia Creti | Wedding
Borgo Bastia Creti Wedding Photography
I was Cassidy and Jack’s Borgo Bastia Creti wedding photographer in Umbria. The experience was hollywood-esque. With the charm, humour and a good old fashioned love story mixed with a romantic rustic Italian backdrop. The stunning Borgo Bastia Creti in the Umbrian hills was an incredibly scenic backdrop. I feel really lucky to have been able to photograph so many destination weddings this year.
Cassidy and Jack were the perfect hosts. One of the things I liked the most about Jack was that he stopped conversations to introduce me to his friends. One of my favourite moments of the day was when his family, mum, dad and brothers got together for a celebratory family hug. I didn’t get a chance to talk too much before the wedding day with Cassidy. But with family coming from all over the globe to meet for the first time she didn’t stop smiling all day long. Whether it was a quick tequila shot pre-ceremony (and post ceremony!), cowgirl boots for the dance floor or the huge entourage of bridesmaids. She knew how to enjoy herself!
It was a testament to them both to see so many friends and family join them. Switzerland, France, London, Alaska, California, The Sudan – all for a wedding in Italy on a Friday.
The Wedding Venue
I didn’t realise it when I took the photo but one of my favourite wedding photographs is her dad walking her down the aisle. I know this is an iconic image but I love the happiness and emotion on her and her fathers faces. The colour and the light – it’s one of my favourite images ever.
Their wedding day was truly a scorcher. At around 4:30 in the afternoon the ceremony began and I didn’t envy the guys having to wear a blazer. The string duo played some great acoustic covers and the DJ lit up the dance floor. A huge thank you to Monina from Italian Wedding Dream – weddings in Umbria Here are the wedding photos!
