CAME HOUSE WEDDING
Wow – it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post, but I’m going to kick it off with Dickie and Karen’s Came House wedding. It’s a new wedding venue for me, although I’m not sure if I could really class it as a ‘wedding venue.’ It is a really beautiful home tucked away in an unsuspecting area of Dorset with plenty of character and charm. Beautiful grounds and honestly I’d be happy to go back and photograph Karen & Dickie’s wedding all over again.
Came House wedding venue was not far from the ceremony, a beautiful church in Cerne Abbas. A postcard village (but not wrecked by tourists). Karen and Dickie were a lot of fun to be around. Karen’s Dad used his MG to take Karen to the church from Came House and let Dickie drive them back again.
TOP THREE WEDDING MOMENTS
My three favourite memories from the day start with a confetti tunnel in the MG. What a great photo – it’s going straight in my portfolio.
My second favourite memory is of Dickie helping Karen climb on to a 10 foot ledge on the front of Came House. This was entirely their idea (although I did encourage them a little!)
My final favourite part of the day were the fireworks. Now fireworks can be a little tricky to photograph. Sometimes they are a bit smokey. Sometimes they don’t get the height or last for 2-3 minutes, but they can look pretty spectacular in a photo! The Came House wedding photos looked epic as you can look over the wall at the front of the building.
And then the wedding at Came House ended with 12 confetti canon’s on the dance floor! Like all of the weddings this year I enjoyed myself immensely and took WAY too many photos!
I do have a few little shout outs. Starting with Karen’s dress shop Anna Bridal and her Suzanne Neville dress. Bridesmaids dresses from TH&TH and it was great to see the amazing florist The Wild Fox at work.
