Katy & Russell | Charlton House | Wedding
On a sunny, beautiful February day, Katy & Russell got married at the gorgeous Charlton House in Somerset. The House and surrounding gardens were even stunning in Winter, and were a perfect setting for Katy and Russell to tie the knot, surrounding by their closest friends and family.
In terms of prettying up the place, check out their illuminated LOVE sign as well as the flowers and table decorations from Bee Arnoux Flower Designs.
Katy looked beautiful in her Caroline Castigliano wedding gown with Jimmy Choo shoes to match, and it was lovely to meet and work alongside Maya and Karen Christensen who did a great job of getting everyone ready in plenty of time. Big up to the B-maids who looked great in Biba from House of Fraser and wore big smiles all day long.
As everyone got ready at Charlton House it was great to take a few photographs of the guys getting ready too. One of my favourite photographs from the day is the image of Russell reflected in the mirror. It’s just a great story telling image and might have to get added to the portfolio later down the line. FYI he looked extra fine in a Cad & The Dandy suit.
One of my favourite points of the day were the four speeches. In particular the best men pulled out all of the stops to deliver one of the funniest speeches I have heard in quite a while. It was hit after hit of laughter, these guys could be professional best men. They also had a surprise guest in the guise of Patsy – randomly hilarious – every wedding needs a little story to tell like this.
It was great to listen to live music with pianist Andrew Yeates playing through the ceremony and drinks reception and then The Somebodys got the party started in the evening!
Thank you Katy and Russell for having me along! It was such a brilliant day!
