I’ve been lucky enough to visit some amazing new wedding venues this year. Honestly – the job of a wedding photographer is so much fun! This time it was my pleasure to return to the south of France and capture Tash and Pete’s Chateau de Castellaras wedding. A 30 minute drive from Nice, perched up in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean, Chateau de Castellaras is a beautiful castle.
It was great to work with aava wedding planners. I can’t sing their praises enough as they coordinated the day against some treacherous weather. They were really great to work with and thanks to them everything ran without a hitch.
My three favourite things about Pete and Tash’s wedding kick off with the spirit of their friends and family. They couldn’t have been happier for them and ready to celebrate! I didn’t notice a single person who didn’t visit the dance floor, cheer at the speeches or grin during the ceremony.
My second favourite thing of the day was the setting – absolutely mind glowingly beautiful. Their Chateau de Castellaras wedding was just stunning and the view never got old. With decorations from Lally Rose it all looked incredibly special.
My third favourite thing was the ceremony – with three different readings and lots of personalisation it was emotional! The ceremony spot was moved because the of the rain. In my opinion it moved for the better because the view down to the sea was incredible.
A MASSIVE thank you to Tash and Pete for having me to their wedding. It was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to head back to the area for a holiday at some point. It must be done! I’ve not really experienced the south of France before but it’s an incredible part of the world to explore especially as a destination wedding photographer.
