Edwin & Xiao Ying | Cinque Terre | Pre Wedding Shoot
Cinque Terre Pre Wedding Shoot
Edwin emailed me 6 months ago asking about a pre wedding shoot. The dates he had in mind I couldn’t make as I was photographing a wedding in Tuscany. So, we decided to make it work and we settled on the beautiful area of Cinque Terre. What a great excuse for an extended holiday! I’m really lucky to do a lot of wedding photography in Tuscany. But I have never been to Cinuqe Terre, not least for a pre wedding shoot.
I think it’s one of the nicest areas of Italy that I have ever been. And I don’t say that lightly. Firstly there weren’t too many tourists. It was a quiet time of year but we got up extra early to catch a sunrise as well as a quick change of outfit for a sun set.
The day before I did a bit of investigation and explored Cinque Terre and it’s 5 villages. Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore were all incredibly beautiful but we settled on Manarola. The town was completely untouched with little side streets that were perfect for pre wedding photography. As well as some epic spots for wider photos where you can really see the whole of the village. Accessing the sea was easy and then we climbed up to the cliffs overlooking the Italian coast. Mind blowing views wherever we went.
Thank you to Edwin and Xiao Ying for being such good models. They were so easy to work with and bought the biggest of smiles (and a cranking wardrobe!) with them.
Anyway, enough talk and on with the Cinque Terre pre wedding shoot photos. You can also find some amazing images of all my pre wedding shoots in my portfolio.
