Come a long way

So I’ve come a long way since getting my first camera. Yes that’s me above. And yes my jumper is buttoned all the way up to the top. That’s how we do things in mid-Wales.

When I read the email from the girls at Wedding Ideas Magazine to say I’d been nominated for ‘Wedding Photographer of the Year 2012’ I was elated. Stuff like this never happens to me. I don’t know if my mum put me forward or what, but it really made my day. In a BIG way. I know it’s not a Pulitzer prize but it has a certain significance. As we come to the end of 2011 I will have shot over 50 weddings and 40 engagement shoots. Whilst numbers don’t really mean too much its incredible to look back at my achievements, which for my second year have far exceeded my expectations. I actually went back to my 2010 year in review to see what my thoughts were. I’ll be doing my 2011 post soon.

I realise the competition is more of a popularity contest. But who doesn’t like being popular? 😀 If you are a past, or current bride or groom or even just someone who likes my work then I’d  have BIG LOVE if you went to vote for me. It’ll take a few minutes…
