Carolyn & Tim | Coombe Lodge | Wedding
Autumn Wedding at Coombe Lodge
I was Carolyn and Tim’s autumn Coombe Lodge wedding near Blagdon. The sun was warm and the light was amazing (just check out the image above!) You might remember them from their phototastic couple shoot in Bath. Their wedding day was equally as amazing but with better weather!
Firstly, I always enjoy being at a wedding for the whole day. Sometimes the behind the scenes images can be the most memorable. Both Carolyn and Tim got ready at Coombe Lodge and so I was able to take a few photos of them before the ceremony started. This is one of my favourite parts of the day. It’s exciting, sometimes a little bit nerve-racking. Always fun. Carolyn and Tim swapped gifts in the morning. One of the photo highlights was seeing the girls reaction to Carolyn opening a new Mulberry handbag. With a custom wedding day colour. She then slipped in to her Pronovias wedding gown, grabbed her flowers from Tiger Lily and headed downstairs with her bridal entourage where everyone was waiting.
Tim got a bespoke suit from Buckleigh of London which looked really good, as did his ushers. The best man looked after the wedding rings from J&C Martin. You might see a few close ups of those further down… photographing the wedding rings in a creative way is always fun!
The Wedding Venue
Tim and Carolyn decorated their Coombe Lodge wedding with photos of their other family weddings. They had a string quartet and jazz pianist providing music before the ceremony and during drinks reception which was really nice and set the tone for the day.
Any other couples getting married at Coombe Lodge (or elsewhere!) might be interested to know that they used fairy lights in Kilner Jars for their reception tables and the favours contained a personal recipe card for two of Carolyn’s best bakes!
On the subject of cakes, Carolyn’s mother and auntie made the daddy of all cupcake towers, with ‘happy’, ‘ever’, ‘after’ flags decorating each one.
A huge thank you for having me along to photograph your wedding because it was a favourite from my year. It was a huge privilege and I wish you both as much fun and happiness in your future as I saw on your wedding day.
I hope you enjoy the photographs below and finally be sure to check out my Coombe Lodge wedding photography page for more images at this beautiful venue.
