Cath & James | De Courceys Manor | Wedding
I’d been looking forward to Cath ad James’s wedding in South Wales for ages. These are their de courtesy photos from their wedding. They even changed church at the last minute because they weren’t allowed photos during the ceremony. Have have been perfect clients! You may remember them from their couple shoot last year, and their wedding day was just as sunny. The day started for me with Cath and the bridesmaids. I arrived at their house to find lots of cats. Julie Davies did an ace job of beautifying everyone and making sure everything ran on time. It was good fun to hang out with Richard and his wingman David from Aurora Video for the day. I’m a big fan of his approach and I’m looking forward to seeing his cinematic magic from the day.
Half way through the morning flowers from Love Lily arrived. Talent! Catherine then slipped in to her Augusta Jones gown and walked down stairs to see her dad. I always love this moment and it was great to capture it all.
I then headed off to the ceremony at St Martin’s Church in Caerphilly to meet James and see all their guests arriving. The ceremony was beautiful, and a big shout out to the Welsh male voice choir who performed. I don’t think I would ever tire of hearing a Welsh male voice choir sing, even if I heard them at every wedding.
After lots of celebratory hugs we headed to De Courceys Manor for the reception. Like many of the weddings I’m lucky enough to attend there was a lot of home spun elegance. Cath and James collected lots of crystal for the flowers and their table names were cross stitched. The sun shone throughout the afternoon, and once the speeches finished we went to capture some photos of them both together in some nearby countryside.
Cath and James duly sliced the Patisserie Leila cake, and the first dance began!
Thank you so much for having me, I wish you as much happiness in your future as I saw on your wedding day. Now lets design the album!
