Emma & Ben | Anstey Hall | Wedding
Emma and Ben got married back in May and invited me up to Cambridge to photograph their beautiful Anstey Hall wedding. It was an amazing day and I ended up staying right until the end to capture them leave in style. I realise this is a big of a mammoth blog post, but I recommend trying to make it all the way to the bottom to see just what happened.
I started off capturing Emma and the B-maids being beautified at Anstey Hall. I then headed off to St Mary The Virgin Church to catch up with the guys. I’d not met Ben before but it was pretty easy to identify him. Whilst the suit was a give away that he was in the wedding party, I knew he was the groom as he had the biggest, happiest smile on his face.
My favourite moments of the day were… the confetti fest. It was spectacular! For the first time in a while I actually sung along to a few of the uplifting hymns at the back of the church. The song choice took me right back to the Christian Union meetings at university. The ceremony was also incredibly special, with Emma’s grandfather leading the ceremony. He was also a keen photographer which worked to my favour 🙂 Emma and Ben had a photo booth, lawn games, scones and tea, a paper aeroplane throwing competition and a Ceilidh (that got pretty wild!) They finished the celebration off by having guests decorate their car and they left with their guests waving sparklers. It was an incredible day and I want to do it again.
Here are a few of my favourites.
Ps. Emma’s flower crown rocked my world.
