Fi & Giles | Wedding Preview | Bath

A photograph hot of the press from this morning’s wedding at The Pump Room in Bath. I love living in Bristol but the more I visit Bath for ‘work’ the more I’m falling in love with this city. It’s unique. As someone commented to me earlier The Pump Room is slightly better than your average registry office! I couldn’t agree more. It’s a very special wedding venue.

A someone looking for their own wedding venue I’m putting the Pump Room at the top of my list. This place has it all. Beauty, charm, history and magic. I’m not just saying that. It looked beautiful for Fi and Giles’s wedding. It was magical and I’d like to thank them for having me as their wedding photographer. I really enjoyed photographing them and I could see the chemistry. They had that look. The look that people in love have when they look at one another. Sorry for being slushy – but I have the photographs to prove it ;o)

Here’s one photograph that stood out from the day. More to come.

  1. i had to google this immediately when i saw this image, before i even read your post and realized it was Bath: “Anne did not share these feelings. She persisted in a very determined, though very silent disinclination for Bath; caught the first dim view of the extensive buildings, smoking in rain, without any wish of seeing them better…” (from “Persuasion” by jane austen, a favorite of mine).
though jane austen’s anne elliot didn’t like bath… austen’s description of the city is so incredibly vivid it has always stayed with me. must be AMAZING to shoot there. and the pump room is in this book too 🙂 with all that in my mind, this image is like the definition of classic and timeless. it’s a keeper, a wall canvas for sure… just gorgeous! i want to see the rest of this wedding!
(sorry for the long comment!) 🙂

  2. Bert – What a shot to finish the year off with! Here’s to wishing you a great 2011 and I’m sure there will be many more images that match this one in quality and composition.
