June 2013 – Features

2013 seems to be flying at an incredible pace but here are some wedding features. I can’t understand how it is June already. Incredible. Over the last 6 months, since my last post I’ve had lots of work featured in all sorts of different places. But I’ll start with my interview for Digital Photographer. Whilst it feels a little indulgent to start with a post about me, I was hugely honoured to have been asked for an interview. It was only a few years ago that I was reading this magazine myself and marveling at the incredible work they showcased. I specifically remember reading a couple of wedding articles and hanging on every word in the hope that it might help me. So it was particularly apt that I was asked to share a little about how I work on the day and more specifically how I work when photographing couples together. I believe I have quite a unique approach to this and I hope my few words help out.

If you’re not a reader of Bridal Musings – please do check it out. It’s one of my firm favourite wedding inspiration blogs. There’s something about the simple, natural, elegance of all the weddings Elizabeth features that I love. So I was thrilled to have been featured twice already this year. Firstly Vanessa and Phil were featured back in April here. You can read all about it here.

Next up are Leanne and Matt, who were also featured in April, again on Bridal Musings. They had the most beautiful winter wedding at Highcliffe Castle.

Vanessa and Phil also managed a few other features over on The Wedding Scoop, a bridal inspiration blog based in Singapore. Check out Parts 1 and Part 2 for a little more info.

I was lucky enough to be featured on image of the week, a night time image from Jenny and Adam’s wedding from last year. Check out the post here.

Rock My Wedding are another of my firm favourite reads. It’s always beautifully written and packed with personality. Ali and Ed were featured the other day – do head on over and read a little more about their day.

And then, the last of the online media can be found on Mr & Mrs Unique. Hannah and Patrick’s beautifully colourful wedding from a few weeks ago is shown is up.

And then Bree and Neil were featured in Perfect Wedding Magazine. It was beautifully styled vintage wedding with help from Kirsten.

And then lastly Perfect wedding are using an image from Sarah and James’s wedding at Orchardleigh House in a forthcoming feature on wedding venues.

Today I’m having a relaxing Sunday. Well, I’ve a few consultations and a shoot later in Shrewsbury. But right now I’m in my favourite coffee shop with a vanilla laté. So good. It’s a little cup of heaven in a period where I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard, or had such good fun….

  • 2012 Features

2012 was a great year but it kept me extremely busy. In fact so busy that I didn’t really have too much time to submit features to the numerous blogs and magazines that ask. In some ways this feels like a bit of a crime as I’m lucky enough to be invited to many many…
