Laura & Gil | Wedding | Lupton House, Devon
Laura and Gil got married at Kingswear Church in Devon. It was a beautiful day and they chose some of the most unique wedding venues I’ve visited. Weddings in the west country have a great feel to them. Fun, happy and feel-good. Being close to the sea was an extra bonus though. Whilst I’m proud to be a land lover there’s something about the ocean that fascinates me. So having a view of it from Laura’s house and also the church added to the atmosphere.
It was great to see them both tie the knot, surrounded by their friends and family. After the ceremony we headed to Lupton House which I think everyone instantly fell in love with. I won’t bore anyone with the history of the place, but it looks incredible and its ‘more shabby than chic’ appearance really added to its charm. I think one of my favourite points in the day was the speeches. In general I enjoy these far more than I should, but as Laura and Gil decided to have theirs outside, in the sunshine, underneath a tree it added to the relaxed, fun atmosphere. That, and it was great fun to photograph as the stories of the uni-years were told 😀
Congratulations on getting married Laura and Gil. It was a joy to be a small part of your day and I wish you all the best for your future together!
