London Canal Pre Wedding Shoot
So this is an oldie but a goodie! I first met Rebecca and Stephen on this pre-wedding shoot in London by a canal. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to photograph their legal marriage in London, their wider wedding on the Isle of Wight, and even a family shoot. Honestly, these two are the kind of people who make my job feel like a dream – kind, fun, and always up for a good time in front of the camera. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that they’ve booked me so many times!
For their pre-wedding session, we hit up one of London’s canals – a bit of a hidden gem for shoots. You’d think a canal might be an odd spot, but trust me, it worked. There’s something about the mix of urban charm and calm waters that makes for such a pretty backdrop. The towpaths, the reflections, the narrowboats – it all came together beautifully, and Rebecca and Stephen totally nailed it.
And let’s talk about their outfits -absolute fire! They both brought this effortlessly stylish vibe that complemented the surroundings perfectly. It was one of those shoots where everything just clicks (pun intended!).
After the canal we also made our way to St Paul’s, because how can you resist that iconic spot? It’s got such an epic grandeur, and these two looked incredible against its historic architecture. And then, just to challenge ourselves, we wrapped things up in Covent Garden. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll know it’s busy -but somehow, we managed to create some of my all-time favourite photos from the place. The energy, the movement, the light – it all came together in a way that just worked.
Looking back at this shoot, it reminds me why I love what I do. It’s about capturing connection, adventure, and those little moments in between. Rebecca and Stephen, if you’re reading this – thank you for trusting me time and time again. Let’s do it all over again sometime!
