Natasha & Tom | Wedding | Wickwar, Bristol
I’ve been meaning to write about Natasha and Thom’s wedding in Yate for a while. I don’t want to sound trite, but it was a fairytale destination. A quick 20 minute drive north of Bristol and you’re there.
The weather was warm with a slight breeze and the sun was out in full force. They got married at the Holy Trinity Church in Wickwar. A traditional church on top of a small hill. The church was surrounded by fields full of flowers and a little path leading over a bubbling brook through some trees, up the entry. The church interior was beautiful with many tall stained glass windows giving some of the best window light I have seen. Soft, even and bright. This made photographing people a pleasure and I’m really pleased with the ceremony photographs.
After the ceremony and a few formals outside the lovely old church we drove to The Players Golf Club for the reception. This Golf Club was also north of Bristol, situated on some beautifully maintained land near Chipping Sodbury. The food looked fantastic and the reception room was spacious enough to fit in plenty of guests without it feeling crowded. After a sumptuous supper and speeches most of the family headed towards the driving range! It was great to photograph the family out in the sun and I was seriously impressed by (some) of their golfing skills. I haven’t attended a golfing wedding before and I don’t have a lot of experience on the range. But it looked like serious fun and I enjoyed every minute
Anyway, a few wedding photographs below – I’d love to read your comments.
