2011 | Review

Wow.

What a year. I can’t believe how incredible 2011 has been. As the clock struck midnight on 31 Dec 2011 I paused and took a moment to REALLY think back and remember the amazingness of 2011. It blows my mind. Love, fun, support and a LOT of hard work. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Below is one photo from each of the 53 weddings and 40 engagement shoots I covered this year. I racked up 10,777 miles and ate so many hog roasts that I’ve lost count. I’ve never worked so hard in my life, although in honesty it doesn’t really feel too much like work. It gives me purpose and I’m so thankful for the job I have. From quitting my day job in February 2011 to being nominated as the Best Wedding Photographer at the Wedding Ideas Awards it’s been one heck of a ride. Keep your fingers crossed for me – I find out in a few weeks!

This post is really a small way to express my appreciation for those that had the faith to book me to photograph their big day. I am incredibly thankful for the support of those that believe in my ability. The best bit? Meeting some great people and making a lot of friends. Making people happy is what it’s all about.

Now I’m off to rest. My first wedding of 2012 starts on the 7th January.
