Pre Wedding Shoot in Florence

My first pre wedding shoot in Florence and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Florence was flooded with beautiful spring light all day long. Getting up for sunrise was well worth it. Carina and SY didn’t take much persuading and it totally paid off. Photographing a couple on Ponte Vecchio has long been on my bucket list cool locations of places that I’d like to do a pre wedding shoot and it totally paid off.

We also visited the famous Uffizi gallery in Florence before anyone else arrived. We took some stunning photos in the morning light because white vans and tourists arrived on the scene. It was one place Carina suggested we go and it ended up being one of the best spots. I’m not quite sure how I managed to be creative at 6am but the photos speak for themselves.

Carina changed from a pink Vera Wang gown in to a sparkly black ball gown. They both looked incredible and as we walked around Florence. Whilst we moved from one location to the next they got all sorts of compliments and remarks from the locals.

After the photos around the famous Duomo in Florence we headed to the Boboli gardens. I have not visited the Boboli gardens before so it was great to explore and discover a new area on the shoot. We managed to dodge quite a few tourists and came away with some beautiful shots overlooking the city.

Whilst Florence offers plenty of great locations for pre wedding photography some of my favourite photos came from the back streets. The city is famous for its art and architecture and they make an incredible backdrop for pre wedding photos. But the narrow small streets also have plenty of Italian charm.
