Pre Wedding Shoot Santorini

Pre Wedding Shoot Santorini

I visited this beautiful Greek island last year and knew I wanted to return for a pre wedding shoot in Santorini. Carina and Suyuan asked my opinion about locations in Europe for their pre wedding shoot and Santorini was my first! If you haven’t seen their first pre wedding shoot in Florence hit the link!

Not only did I know it well but the location and visuals are so unique. The weather was kind to us and the sunsets were out of this world. One of the best things about pre wedding photograph in Santorini is the view. Not just the sea, but the the surrounding islands which are an incredible backdrop.

The iconic shot on my wish list was the view from the town of Oia. Over the white and coloured houses at sunset. It has the prime position for sunsets which is probably why so many people on honey moon go there. The beautiful thing about the Santorini villages is that there are lots of cute little alleyways and plenty of opportunities for us to go ‘off piste.’

We also visited the red beach for sunrise and being the only people there we got some great images in the deserted streets. We even finished the photoshoot off with a few shots in the sea!

Next we headed to Pyrgos which is a small village on one of the island’s hills. With views out over the rest of Santorini and the surrounding islands. Again, it is a maze of white washed streets which lend themselves beautifully to pre wedding photography. We found some classic Greek churches with white walls and a blue dome roof and the maze of steps, tunnels and side streets.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for having me along Carina and Suyuan – on with the pre wedding photos in Santorini. I can’t wait to add a few of these to my pre wedding photography portfolio and if you’re getting married abroad I am also a destination wedding photographer.
