Kirsty & Simon | Punchbowl Lapworth | Wedding
After a mystery enquiry on Facebook I was pumped to be booked by Simon to photograph his wedding with Kirsty at the Punchbowl in Lapworth. I love travelling and have been to the Solihull area quite a few times. On the day I arrived to be greeted by their cat, Misty. A Russian Blue who loved having her photo taken. Simon looked pretty dapper in his Aquascutum tailored suit from Rosen & Nathan. He (being a graphic designer) put together all of the wedding stationery. It was printed by Glasgow Press.
I then headed to meet Kirsty and her B-maids. She looked beautiful in her Pronovias wedding gown and Jimmy Choo Bridal shoes. Her good friend did an amazing job styling her hair and makeup. As well as keeping things nice and calm! A huge shout out to Dilly Butler from Pink Gloss Boutique (also the best man’s girlfriend!)
All the flowers came from Fleur de Lis, and the most amazing selection of cakes and donuts from Marie’s Couture Cakes. It was quite a sight seeing the queue to the sweat table in the evening. It was a fight to front to put it mildly!
Kirsty arrived in dream of a wedding car, a Classic 1967 Morris Minor Convertible in powder blue. After the ceremony Simon drove them to their Punchbowl Lapworth wedding venue. The venue is a great little relaxed english pub. Guests spilled out in to the garden to enjoy the sun and the food was up there with some of the best. Honestly, as I look back at the photos of the food it brings back memories of the day!
I really tried to be selective in showcasing only the very best wedding photographs. But the story ran away with me. Here are a few of my favourites.
