Kerry & Michael | Rockliffe Hall | Wedding
So Rockliffe Hall. I’m not quite sure where to start with Kerry and Michael’s wedding. It was a complete whirlwind. I sat down for what felt like 10 minutes in 14 hours and took way more photos than I thought I could. In fact I was a little anxious about the day as I had to travel through some pretty bad weather in the morning to get there. One of my favourite things about being a wedding photographer is that I get to travel to places I would never have otherwise visited. And so I arrived at Rockliffe Hall.
Regular readers may remember Kerry and Michael from their engagement shoot in Preston. I was excited to learn that their two doggies Ernie and George were attending. As a surprise for Kerry! I love photographing surprises and one of my favourite parts of the day was watch her happily walk down the aisle. I saw her turn to Michael and then look out the window at the dogs. At this point I saw her physically struggle to hold back tears – it’s one of my favourite photographs of the day.
A little shoutout to Howard Wing – I get the impression that this man is a bit of a superstar in the North. I don’t really want to use the word ‘entertainer’ although he does describe himself as one on his website. And he is very very entertaining! Personally I’d describe him as a talented honorary guest because he came across as just that.
It was an honour to be part of and document Kerry and Michael’s day – I wish you the happiest of marriages! Thank you so much for having me.
