Villa Regina Teodolinda Wedding on Lake Como
This is a Villa Regina Teodolinda wedding and 2018 saw me tick off another bucket list destination wedding on Lake Como. Sarah and Dan picked this The Villa Regina Teolinda wedding venue in Italy. I’m no stranger to Lake Como – and have done a pre wedding shoot (or two) there before. So I’m well aware of how beautiful this part of the world is!
But this was my first wedding so I have to say there was an extra level of excitement and a few nerves. Despite some pessimistic weather forecasts we all had the nicest of days! It was my first time working with Roberta from Boutique Weddings who made sure everything ran smoothly on the day.
The Villa Regina Teolinda is perched right on the edge of the lake with a docking port for a speed boat. The sun rises right in front of the Villa over the water so waking up there must be amazing. But of course the sun sets behind the Villa Regina Teodolinda – rather than over the lake. So if you wanted a wedding ceremony later on in the day you might well be in shade. This works out well because it gets pretty hot in the summer months!

Sun Lake Catering get a standing ovation from me – I’ve included quite a few photos of their handiwork and I have to say all the catering was incredible. It would be a crime not to have taken wedding photos of the food! Blunnote played the soundtrack of the day and were superb. Figli Dei Fiori (I don’t know what that means!) were in charge of all things floral – Sarah’s bouquet was a stunner!
And last but not least it was great to see Gemma Sutton again! I haven’t worked with this Hair & Make-up artist for some time – but she has a pretty good Instagram account which I recommend following too!
I think my favourite moment (and photo!) is the shot above taken right before the cake cut. This photo has gone straight in to my portfolio because I smile every time I see it. Well – that’s all of the shout outs! On with the Villa Regina Teodolinda wedding photography…
