Sian & Nick | Wedding | Bath Assembly Rooms

I must confess I was a little worried for Sian and Nick’s wedding in Bath. I knew it wasn’t going to be a warm day but then it started snowing a few days before and didn’t stop. I shouldn’t have worried. I turned up to photograph Sian getting ready and the snow made for one of the most romantic settings. Ever. Maybe I’m getting older, or more sentimental but Bath was really beautiful that day. I followed the bridal preparations at the Francis Hotel and had a laugh with the girls. I really enjoy this part of the day. Sian and Nick had a simple intimate ceremony at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church which was great to photograph. The church were very relaxed about photographs – ‘do whatever you need to’ were the vicar’s words so I did! They both looked incredible on the day and it was emotional seeing them get married.

We then travelled a short distance to the Bath Assembly Rooms. The interior of the building was beautiful with huge grand rooms, chandeliers, roman columns and beautifully laid tables. The service was excellent – a really well organised team that allowed everyone to relax and so the fun began. Starting with the speeches! The guests were a lot of fun to photograph – sometimes being a wedding photographer doesn’t feel like a job. Here is a small sample from the day:

  1. Great details Bert. I really love that first image (the bird foot-prints) Lovely details and moments. I’m a sucker for Bath too, it’s got “something” that I just can’t put my finger on…

  2. these are gorgeous! something about your processing keeps me scrolling back up – particularly the reception photos. love the clarity and soft tone. also love the exit shot – perfect moment, with all the smiles and confetti!

  3. Beautiful! You captured a timeless day perfectly, I love the serenity your photography reveals. The simplicity in the lines of her dress, shoes and bouquet are super sophisticated!
