Hayley & Nick | Coombe Lodge | Wedding
Summer Coombe Lodge Wedding
I’m lucky enough to do a few Coombe Lodge weddings each year. Again, another wedding right in the middle of that British heatwave and it was a belter!
Hayley and Nick got wed in August at Coombe Lodge. The guys were in black tie – which always looks good! Hayley had two wedding dresses a Calla Blanche and an Eliza Jane Howell for the evening. I’ve had to update my ‘little black book’ to add Kirsten Butler from The Little Wedding Helper and it was great to finally meet, and work alongside local home boy Paul Van (videographer.) My top three memorable moments of the day start off with Hayley’s bridesmaid treading on her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. She won’t be the first – or last person to tread on a wedding dress but the timing was golden. My camera caught the exact moment Hayley turned to say ‘you had one job!’
My second favourite moment happened in the evening. In secret all of the guys disappeared upstairs in Coombe Lodge and changed in to a variety of loud, crazily patterned suits. They chugged a few beers, headed downstairs and took the dance floor by storm! My final moment was out taking couple photos at sunset. There’s an amazing view near Coombe Lodge wedding venue but it now requires climbing a gate to access. I didn’t have Hayley down as being up for this but she was up and over in a matter of seconds! And then my final favourite moment was discovering that you can have gin and tonic flavoured ice pops! How cool is that?! Will need to order some of those for next summer…
Shout Outs
Little shout outs to other suppliers who worked at this Coombe Lodge wedding are the Photo Booth from Booth 19 and Holly Boo Events for the decor.
The magical florist Stephanie Saunders delivered stunning blooms. Elle Hitchens on make up and Louise Alway on hair! The beautiful cake was made by Ahh Toots. They had a cool flower wall during the drinks reception as well as a pimp my prosecco station & garden games. A live saxophone player during the drinks reception and it was my first time working with The Creation Showband. They sang during the wedding breakfast as well as the evening. This band were great. As well as being talented they bought a huge amount of energy to the dance floor.
And that’s it! Wedding report over. As always a huge thank you to the staff at Coombe Lodge. They are always so easy to work with. Flexible and professional. Lastly a MASSIVE thank you to Hayley and Nick. I had a belter of a day with you and the amount of effort you put in to your wedding plans paid off big time. I hope these photos bring back all the highs and funny little moments of the day.
