A MAGICAL TUSCANY WEDDING VENUE
It was great to return to San Galgano Abbey for Kelly and John’s summer wedding. It is one of my favourite places to photograph a wedding. The wedding photos speak for themselves on this one and it’s no wonder why this is on many places as One of the most unique places to get married.
It was my pleasure to meet Kelly and John who were some of the loveliest people from Michigan. They invited me for pizza the night before and it was great to get to know Sam and all of the family and friends.
Although they were a small wedding party they were a ton of fun and the most dedicated of dancers. The dance floor was bouncing all night long and the dj player quite the variety of tunes over the course of the evening.
they also looked amazing in the met gala style outfits and Kelly’s Hollywood’s waves hair.
The sun shone brightly for them which was predictable for Tuscany! And it was such a beautiful day.
For some reason I like a wedding is that thing always go to plan. The one minor mishap was the Fiat 500 which broke down on the way to the ceremony. Luckily it is just five minutes away from the airport now though and John made it on time. Although I like the occasional minor mishap I was somewhat gutted for them as the car is pure photo gold and looks perfect in the backdrop of any wedding photo.

I LOVE SAN GALGANO
If there’s one place that feels like it was made for an unforgettable wedding ceremony, then San Galgano Abbey has to be up there. Its incredible roofless arches, ancient stone and beautiful Tuscan setting make it one of the most breathtaking places I’ve had the chance to photograph.
It’s no surprise, then, that I absolutely love it when couples ask me to be their San Galgano wedding photographer!
A BIT ABOUT IT

San Galgano Abbey has that rare quality that makes a wedding ceremony feel genuinely unforgettable. The roofless Gothic arches, ancient stone and surrounding Tuscan countryside create a setting that feels both incredibly grand and wonderfully peaceful.
There’s something really special about getting married somewhere with so much history and character. It gives the whole day a sense of occasion, without ever feeling too formal or staged, which makes it such a brilliant place to photograph.

If you’re looking for somewhere truly unforgettable to say your vows, San Galgano Abbey is hard to beat. There’s something pretty incredible about standing beneath those huge roofless arches, surrounded by centuries of history and the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing ceremonies here, and it’s one of those places where the setting does so much of the work for you. As the light comes through the arches and everyone settles into their seats, it creates a really magical atmosphere that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.
