Belmond Caruso Hotel wedding photography Emily & Sean’s wedding was my first introduction to the south of Italy and ravello. I’ve been to Italy more than any other EU country (including Scotland!) but I’d always wanted to visit the Amalfi coast. I’d heard so much about it from other couple’s who had been there on holiday. My first time in ravello was really nice. Personally, I loved the drive and had the best company in the form of Liam from Soby films. We hung ou together a LOT! Including an 8-10 hour airport wait on the way home. We met with Sean (groom!) the day before and it was clear everyone was in the holiday spirit! We went through the Belmond Caruso Hotel and explored the beautiful grounds and ran through some ideas. Needless to say it was an incredible spot for a wedding. Destinations are all about this - treating your friends and family to an incredible experience and a few treats. I think my favourite part of the wedding was meeting the band Club. I’ve met a lot of good bands but these guys were pretty immense. They really bought the party and their energy was infectious. I hope our paths cross again one day. The weather was hot but just about bearable. 29 degrees perhaps? I’ve worked in hotter! The open air ceremony was lovely with views of the sea. We then headed for drinks and canapés in the local squire of medallion. We then headed to the lovely (air conditioned) Belmond Caruso Hotel before heading outside in to their gardens for more music, drinks and frankly incredible good. I think I was most excited about the couple photos near the infinity pool. Although the sun sets behind a mountain around the back of the hotel you do get the most incredible dusky colours in the sky. I was so excited to create some couple photos at the right time, before heading back to the party. A massive thank you to Sean, Emily and the planner for everything. I absolutely loved being [art of their wedding and it was a huge honour.
