Upwaltham Barns Wedding Photographer
Firstly it was great to be an Upwaltham Barns wedding photographer where Rian and Gareth tied the knot. Their wedding was one of the funnest I’ve been to this year. Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex was the background look ed beautiful and so did Rian and Gareth, who you might remember from their autumnal couple shoot last year.
The day was incredible because like every good wedding it’s all about the people. Whilst it looked as though it might have rained all day it stayed remarkably dry, if a bit windy. I started off photographing Gareth and the guys since they were preparing the venue with all sorts of decorations. From oranges to clogs! Ryan is a pretty talented designer therefore you’ll see plenty of beautiful graphics in this post. From menus to message cards. One of the nice things about Upwaltham Barns is that you can do as little or as much to it as you want to personalise it.
After my good friend and second photographer for the day Alex Beckett arrived to help photograph the guys getting ready I headed off to capture a few of Rian and her bridesmaids. After joining them for a quick espresso I got to work. It was great to meet makeup artist Sally Miura who also sang the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard at a wedding. Everyone was moved by her voice and it was one of the most memorable parts of the day.
Their Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was incredible. A real celebration of two people in love. I think this manifests itself in all the photos I took throughout the whole day. You’ll see what I mean. Family had come from far and wide to celebrate with Rian and Gareth and it was great to photograph them all meeting and catching up. After confetti, hugs, canapés and family photos we headed inside Upwaltham Barns for afternoon food and the speeches. I always enjoy the speeches and it’s fun from my point of view to catch all of the reactions. Lastly, thanks to best man Louis, who was particularly funny/savage I got some great expressions 😀
After a few photos in the fields surrounding the venue we headed back inside for cake tasting and crazy dancing.
It was everything and more.
