Best Wedding Photography Of 2023
Best Wedding Photography Of 2023
As is tradition here are my best wedding photography of 2023! I try to show these a little earlier in the year but things have been so busy with winter weddings. So this is a little late out of the door than I would have liked.
I really struggle to put a favourites list together because it doesn’t quite do justice to my year. But it’s a great time to reflect and try and learn (I do this each year, because like most skills you never stop learning and the world of wedding photography doesn’t ever stop moving forward.)
Some of my highlights include being a The Mount Without wedding photographer for the first time this year. It’s an amazing new venue in Bristol and I can’t wait to return in 2024. This one stands out as it’s so close to me as a Bristol wedding photographer. This isn’t a complaint! But I normally I have to travel a minimum of an hour (often 2 or 3 hours!) for each wedding so to have one so close to home was really nice.
I took some of my best wedding photography in I Italy and was lucky enough to go twice (good times!) I love these amazing adventures abroad – sadly I’m doing a few less than I normally would these days as I juggle that tricky work/life balance.
By and large my best wedding photography of 2023 is about natural moments. And whilst some photos require a nudge in the right direction it’s the spontaneous photos and happy accidents I love the most (and I suspect are the most loved.)
Another highlight was being awarded ‘highly commended’ in this years wedding industry award. I tend not to chase shiny awards as a photographer but these ones resonate as couples vote and judges have a ton of credibility.
Big Love
I’ll wrap up now and say a huge thanks to everyone for having me at their weddings. It’s always a huge honour to capture a wedding, and I never take the trust for granted. Without you all I wouldn’t be able to do what I love doing the most.
Wishing you all the happiest of new years – here comes 2024!
