Sally & Kris | Cripps Barn | Wedding
Cripps Barn Humanist Wedding
Strap yourselves in for a gem of a wedding! Not my first time doing Cripps Barn humanist wedding ceremony but it was amazing to return to this marshmallow of a wedding venue. It was a scorcher and more beautiful for it (even if I did feel like I was melting at times!)
You’ll also (shortly) see more of their Cripps Barn wedding photos over on the Love My Dress wedding blog (whoop!) I’m pretty proud of this and big up to Sally for organising it all 😀
My favourite three things about Sally and Kris’s day?
I don’t generally consider my work to have a ‘theme!’ BUT! The overwhelming theme was family. With an angel of a daughter and many other children and babies there was always a humorous scene or event unfolding. With lots of visiting family from Australia the day was all about family.
My second favourite thing was their outdoor wedding with celebrant Jane Arnold. The thing I love most about celebrants (rather than registrars) is how personal they can make the ceremony. They make it about so much more than the paperwork and Jane really personalised it.
Thirdly and finally I loved the venue of Cripps Barn. Yeah, I know. But I think it is stunning.
Shout outs to wedding suppliers
Always a pleasure working with Sheena (Sheena’s Wedding Hairstyles) – life is a happier place with this lady around! Flowers from Honeysuckle Flower Co., Sally’s Secret (the Bride!), dress – Tia Adora bridal (Satin and Silk in Hereford), suits – Hugo Boss, band – Mister Kanish. Just a quick mention to say Sally’s dress was INCREDIBLE. Suited her right down to the ground.
Special shoutout to harpist – Jemima Phillips. I’ve heard many a harpist in my time but JP rocked Cripps Barn!
Bridesmaid dresses were from Issa (House of Fraser) and flowergirl skirts from Sandra of Waterlily Costumes. A pleasure to work with makeup artist David Ian Hencher and a final shoutout to Darren Jack wedding films. He immediately made it on to my useful list of wedding suppliers page. He kept me on my toes ALL day and in fact I’ve NEVER worked with a videographer with so much energy! I felt guilty for stopping to have a glass of water!
Anyway, enough talk – on with the Cripps Barn humanist wedding and if you’d like to see more Cripps Barn wedding photography then you can find that here. You’ll also find more amazing spots like this to get married on my Cotswolds Wedding Photography page.
