Courtney & Andy | Stone Barn | Wedding
Stone Barn Wedding Photographer
My second time as a Stone Barn wedding photographer, Courtney and Andy’s day was a blast! It was great to meet them both after many months of emails and put a face to a name. They held their wedding ceremony at Bibury church (an incredible ancient building) surrounding by family and friends. They then headed out to the countryside to celebrate. I remember their wedding so well because it was one of those typically British days where it rained off and on, but turned out beautiful for a few cool couple portraits at sunset.
Whilst I know the village is renowned for it’s prettiness the church is beautifully maintained and absolutely one of the nicest I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a few!) Well worth checking out if you’re also getting married in the area.
Their Wedding Ideas
First of all my top 3 favourite things about Courtney and Andy’s Stone Barn wedding photos. The prettiness – I suspect Courtney may have spent quite a bit of time on pinterest getting ideas – I didn’t know what to photograph first! The giant flower hangings in the barn, the 5 tier cake, the floral arrangements… Second thing – the drinking games! Turns out their friends are a pretty rowdy bunch (with quite a few visiting from Canada.) And the final thing… their first dance. I’ve seen a fair few rehearsed dances and their’s was quick, fun and pretty impressive.
Courtney had invited a lot of wedding guests from her home in Canada. It’s quite a way to come but they certainly knew how to party. I met Andy at the church. Wearing a huge smile and greeting a long line of guests it was pretty obvious he would be the groom!
You’ll notice some amazing wedding flowers from Beth Cox, obviously the bouquets but also the hanging flowers inside of the Stone Barn.
Thank you so much for having me photograph your wedding day – I wish you both all the happiness for the future together.
If you want to see more Stone Barn wedding photography then check out Abby and Ed’s wedding. They held the ceremony at Stone Barn in the autumn. And lastly if you’d like to see Cotswolds wedding photography and more info on the area then that’s what to do!
