Hotel Bramante Todi Wedding
It was great to finally arrive at the Hotel Bramante Todi for Hannah and Freddie’s wedding. I didn’t really know what to expect, despite googling images but it exceeded all my expectastions. I hadn’t anticipated that Todi has some of the best views I’ve seen in this part of the world. Becauses we were quite high up on a hill you could see all the different layers that Tuscany and Umbria are famous for.
With that background the whole day was a joy to photograph, but my favourite part of the wedding was when everyone jumped in to the pool. Honestly, it had been SO HOT it was always going to happen. But when Hannah jumped in too (after a wardrobe change!) it was one of my favourite shots of the day. I love a little chaos to photograph when unexpected things happen and the night was full of it!
If you’ve not seen or heard of Todi then you’d be forgiven (because neither had I!) But it is a charming town to look around. The architecture is unique as well as the geography. I’m surprised it’s not more well known and visited.
One of the new things I’ve enjoyed doing more this year is getting out the drone for a new perspective. With the hilliness and geography of Hotel Bramante it took some excellent shots of the wedding (even if I do say so myself!)
Not that it mattered but the wedding took place just as a heatwave was ending. Thankfully it was the coolest day since 5 days, only about 35/36 degrees or so! I don’t think I’ve been a destination wedding photographer on a hotter day, except perhaps this wedding in Mexico.
Well, I’m going to let the photos do the talking now. Hotel Bramante Todi was an amazing venue and Hannah and Freddie were the nicest and most generous of hosts. A massive thanks to Tash and Pete for recommending me (we met at their Chateau-de-Castellaras wedding.)
