Kate & Andy | Wedding | Priston Mill
Prepare yourselves for Kate and Andy’s AMAZING wedding at Priston Mill. I wasn’t quite prepared for the heatwave that struck us last Friday but if every day at this time of year could be that hot I think it would be a good thing. We started off the day in Coombe Grove Manor Hotel on the outskirts of Bath and then headed to the ceremony in the Tythe Barn at Priston Mill. Kate (and Andy?) put some serious effort in to making the barn look beautiful. With vintage china from Aunties Vintage China in Bristol and also the coolest vintage gramophone. Seriously, I was in love with their sound system and I want the same thing at my own wedding next year and I don’t think my girlfriend will need too much convincing either. The thing sounded incredible and really helped set a relaxed, offbeat atmosphere. The speeches were incredible, in fact Kate’s father set the standard pretty high for Andy and the best men. I always love the speeches – so much laughter and some great expressions. Many congratulations to you both – wishing you as much warmth, happiness and laughter in your marriage as your wedding day had.
I’ve since done a LOT of Priston Mill wedding photography so feel free to check out this page with a lot more information and images. And if you’re on the look out for best wedding venue in Bristol then do see my list for a few ideas.
Amazing set of images, I love the first landscape shot and the autumn light is fantastic!
You captured some great moments. I really like the one of the mom coming in to see her and then the flower girl are terrific. The portraits in the field are just stunning. Great work!
Love it! Kate and Andy look like a super fun and loving couple! Love the signature field shots 😉 Great job
Wonderful wedding Bert, one of my favourites from this year. Love the B+W wide shot in the field especially. Great work.
Absolutely beautiful, I love all your black and whites! So jealous of their gramophone… do you know where they got it? I’ve been after one for ages… but potentially one that needs some repair and doesn’t cost an arm or indeed a leg!!
Wow, so many wonderful shots, I think my favorite is the bride, groom and father at the altar where she is looking cutely at the groom. But there are so many great moments in this set.
Gorgeous work, Albert. I particularly love your black and white portraits, truly timeless and elegant.
Your work really resonates with me Albert!! So many gorgeous moments and your eye for color is masterful. Love it..
Love the pics of her at the alter! Great expressions and wonderful capture of the day!
Great photojournalistic coverage. I dig those natural light portraits too! Love the red-leafed wall behind the bride.
wow this is good… REALLY good. i just love the way you see Al.
Kate and Andy, you two look incredible.
digging the whole vibe and browny-reddy goodness throughout this post. slick colours!
I said “wow” in my mind so many times I lost count 😀
Albert. Be still my heart. These are beautiful. And that brides dress? Swooooon. <3
Everything is so beautiful and light and airy. I love it all.
This is beautiful photojournalism. I also love your use of light on the day. Just how it should be.
As Kate’s mum, I am bound to be biased, as I thought the whole day was perfect, but I must thank you Albert, for recreating in print a day we now cannot forget. You have captured that perfect day and I thank you from the bottom of a Mum’s heart. Well done. Most sincerely, Sue Palmer. xx
That`s my china and my gramophone! So great to see it all in situe – just beautiful work and they look so happy.
I always really love visiting your blog – your photos are such a treat to scroll through. This bride seems so incredibly warm-hearted. The black and white photo of Kate and Andy from behind in the field… that needs to be blown up big and hung in their home. Just gorgeous. I love all of your black and whites.
Great wedding! I love the bride and groom portraits!
Her dress is so pretty, I never tire of a gorgeous lacey sleeved gown.
So glad you were our wedding photographer, we knew they’d be good but they far surpassed our expectations. Hundreds of photos that you haven’t put up are amazing and it’ll be tough deciding which to display. Thanks
Wow! An explosion of awesomeness!
Beautiful photographs. Love the vintage theme done so well here – cool china, fab ring shot. Gorgeous portraits in the field. All in all, stunning!
as always your use of natural light is astounding. Your pictures have a lightness and a certain natural quality that is hard to find and even harder to replicate (I should know I’ve tried : ))
Amazing! The first shot is stunning! Top Drawer Albert.
Stunning work!!
Great job Albert!

Such wonderful images Bert. They clearly document the great sense of happiness. The details are simply stunning.
