Kingscote Barn wedding photography
(I love this place!)
Living in Bristol I am a regular Kingscote Barn wedding photographer and visit this beautiful wedding venue multiple times a year. Kingscote Barn is a little farm in the Cotswolds not far from Tetbury in Gloucestershire. It is one of my favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds and and you’ll find a few of my images on the official Kingscote Barn website.
I love the entrance to Kingscote Barn and the fields that surround it. Often they grow corn which looks incredible in the summer and Autumn. The views are spectacular and I never tire of taking a few shots through the day as the light changes the landscape. I am also a big fan of the two ceremony spots. Inside the barn the light is great with large glass doors on either side. But the outdoor ceremony option is equally as beautiful and the entrance through the garden is pretty special. The gardens just outside the barn are a great place for everyone to enjoy drinks and cocktails… they also have a spot dedicated to garden games which often get quite competitive!
I actually photographed weddings here in the early days before getting married outside was an option. It’s also really useful to be able to get ready at Kingscote Barn. Spring Cottage looks incredible and I’ve also visited Tuppence Barn and Will’s Cottage. In addition the food is incredible and the staff are always welcoming.
If it’s of help I put together a list of other amazing local wedding suppliers who I regularly see. Makeup artists, bands, florists, magicians, weddings planner – you’ll find them all here.
The Good Stuff
Every time I visit Kingscote Barn I find new locations for wedding photos. I do my level best to take photos that are personal to the couples that book me. Of course the driveway with the corn fields is one of my favourite spots for couple photos. Time it right and you’ll see the best sunsets that you don’t get at the barn. You’ll also find pretty gardens and open fields with views of the hills. It’s certainly one of my favourite wedding venues and I love being a Kingscote Barn wedding photographer.
Last but not least I have to say the evening pizza oven is incredibly good. One of the many perks of my job is sampling the evening buffet. No question the pizza at Kingscote Barn ranks very highly.
Getting Married at a Nearby Church
As well as Kingscote Barn there are quite a few nearby ceremony locations where you can also tie the knot. The most popular is St Mary The Virgin in Tetbury and it’s only a short drive. But I’ve also been to ceremonies at St Bartholomew’s Church in Nympsfield.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies at Kingscote Barn
As I mentioned you have the option to get married outside but also the backup of the barn should it rain. I love the garden area and the views of the Cotswolds hills are spectacular.
Whilst I’m a big fan of getting married outside in the sunshine there is a lot to be said for the barn. Because you can stand next to or behind the registrar the wedding photographer can get a better view of the couple.
