Olivia & Matt | Lulworth Castle | Wedding
Spring Wedding Photography at Lulworth Castle
I did Olivia and Matt’s spring wedding at Lulworth Castle and it instantly become one of my favourite wedding venues. Their church wedding was simply beautiful. We recently put the final touches on their wedding album and even though I’ve seen the photos countless times I loved looking through them. And it’s not even my wedding!
The priest who performed their ceremony was actually the priest Olivia had at her christening. I don’t think it gets all that much more special than that. The church at Lulworth Castle is perfectly suited to wedding photography. With plenty of light, and a few spots where you can take photos without being intrusive. Big thumbs up!
Funnily enough I photographed her uni friends Jack’s wedding in Borgo Bastia Creti in Umbria and also my favourite Bournemouth wedding of Becky and James. It was great to see a few familiar faces and catch up.
I knew as soon as I arrived that their friends were a pretty fun bunch. The games room at Durdle Door Holiday Cottages was a hive of activity as Matt and the guys waited for the optimum time to get ready. Olivia and the girls were just next-door so it was great to catch a few photos of them all pre-ceremony.
The steps of Lulworth Castle made an amazing backdrop for family photos and a few couple shots. Despite the blustery spring weather we took a big group wedding photo on the steps of Lulworth Castle before heading inside. Fortunately, as you will see, the interior of Lulworth Castle makes an equally beautiful second option to the beautiful grounds. Spring weddings are lovely but it’s always good to have a back up option.
A few shout outs to the band Bounce International and the string quartet.: Stringendo. Susie Edwards put together the most beautiful flowers all around the venue. They really were pretty stunning and car hire was from Superwed Cars.
Anyway – enough talk – on with the photos!
