Steph & Joe | Wedding | Priston Mill, Bristol
So this is the rather amazing story of Steph and Joe’s wedding at Priston Mill told through photographs. It was such an emotional and joyous day and I’m so thankful I got to share it with them. It was a pleasure to share in the pre-wedding nerves with Steph whilst she was getting ready. I also got to witness the expression on her father’s face when he saw her in wedding dress for the first time. I then caught up with Joe and his best man (sorry I’m quite bad with names!) at St. Mary’s church in Henbury, Bristol. Then when Steph arrived fashionably a few minutes late I photographed her little smile as she walked down the aisle.
It was a very emotional ceremony as Steph’s father co-led the ceremony. As Joe said in his speech, that doesn’t happen very often and my trusty assistant even commented that he felt himself welling at one point! Celebrations ensued after the ceremony and a few posed formal photographs. We were incredibly lucky with the weather to have such a beautiful day in April. We then headed off to the Tythe Barn for their wedding reception in the sun. Some female guests removed their heels to enjoy the grass in the garden outside of Priston Mill – I don’t often see that at April Weddings and then we headed in for food.
At some point in between courses we headed off to take some creative photographs of Steph and Joe by themselves. The light was amazing and I got some of the best photographs taken ever! During the mini photo shoot we were interrupted when hot air balloons spotted us from above and descended. This made a great informal photography opportunity and I took full advantage before they were blew away!
We headed back, cut (and ate) the cake, started up the photo booth and photographed some of the most outrageous dance moves I have ever witnessed.
