Summer Wedding at Upwaltham Barn
It was my pleasure to go to Laura and Pete’s summer wedding at Upwaltham Barn in West Sussex. It was one of those extremely hot summer days with a very real need for sunglasses and factor 50. With the welcome sunshine there was plenty of light and interesting scenes to play with and get creative. Everyone got ready near to Upwaltham Barn so I took a few pictures of the bride squad and ushers getting ready.
One thing I love about Upwaltham Barns (especially in the summer) is the beautiful countryside setting. I took the drone up a few times to check the view. We also ventured up the hill next to the venue for stunning view at sunset. It was a steep walk up but well worth it! Tall grass, sunset, hot couple – the photos take themselves! It was great to take a moment out and watch the sun go down.
It was also my pleasure to work again with Sam – one of my favourite videographers and from the South West too!
Favourite moment of the day for me, unquestionable was Laura’s dad’s speech. An absolute masterclass in father of the bride’s speech – personal, meaningful – making most people in the room cry (including me!) I think my second favourite moment was the mammoth confetti line that stretched from the ceremony room to the bar and then round the corner! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – you can never have too much confetti!
A massive thank you to Laura and Pete for having me along to photograph their wedding. I loved being there and celebrating with you all. Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day. If you’d like to see more wedding photography from Upwaltham Barn please check out the link here.
