Chateau Roquelune Wedding Photography

My first time doing Chateau Roquelune wedding photography I had been waiting ages for Shaun and Lucy’s wedding. It was my first wedding in France although I do quite a few destination weddings each year. I used to live in France for a few years (woohoo!) and so it was great to tick this wedding off of my bucket list.

Friends of Beth & Tom (from this San Galgano wedding) I knew Shaun and Lucy’s wedding would be equally as crazy to photograph and I wasn’t wrong. Chateau Roquelune made an incredible backdrop and it was difficult to stop taking photos of it! I’ve not been to a wedding venue like it! Close to Pézenas in Southern France it was also my first trip to that part of the world. I could easily retire there…

What were my top three moments of the day?

Spirited wedding guests popping bottles on the dance floor. This is something I’ve been waiting for as a wedding photographer for a very long time! Finally it happened.

Lucy and Shaun’s outdoor wedding ceremony. Warm sunshine, an ancient fountain, trees, loved ones and a gentle breeze. It was perfect.

Finally – the relaxed wedding reception with amazing cocktails, drinks and an endless supply of the most tasty canapés. I had to keep reminding myself I was there to work – but at times it felt like a mini holiday! Looking at the photos takes me right back.

Thank You!

A huge huge thank you to Lucy and Shaun for having me. We’d not met before the big day but Shaun warmly showed me around the venue in the morning. I ‘think’ Lucy forgot I was there and had a big smile on her face all day. They were amazing hosts and I loved being a part of their day.

Anyway, enough talk from me and on with the Chateau Roquelune wedding photography.

I shot my first wedding of 2010 last weekend and had a great time. It was outside of Bristol and the weather was surprisingly good. The setting romantic and the day was filled with fun and love. I captured lots of fairytale images. The bride looking in to the groom’s eyes and him back at…

I’m feeling a little silly today (hey it’s Friday!) and thought I’d share something a little different. I haven’t blogged in a while and decided to break from tradition and talk to you about dogs. Dogs at weddings. Whilst some of the dogs were invited others completely photobombed themselves in to the story of the day. Here are some of…
