Merriscourt Barn Wedding | Rachel & Matt

Merriscourt Barn wedding photography

My second time photographing at Merriscourt Barn wedding venue and boy was it a good one! Rachel and Matt got married on a scorching day at Merriscourt Barn. Everyone spent a lot of time outside in the grounds enjoying the sun and scenery. It was so hot that half way through the reception Rachel disappeared to remove the ‘lace’ overcoat from her dress to cool off!

Rachel and her bridesmaids were BIG fun! You always know it’s going to be a good day when the bride hugs you on your arrival! She was Full of smiles all day and so much fun to be around.

Matt played it cool all day – he seemed super chilled and every time I tried to capture a candid of him he was sitting down chatting to his family.

It was great to return to Merriscourt Barn wedding venue – it’s one of my favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds surrounded by stunning countryside. A big shout out to the staff who are always so welcoming and good at keeping everything running on time!

I love taking photos at Merriscourt and one of the main reasons why is the light in the Barn. During the wedding ceremony the couple are illuminated by large windows. It gives the most amazing lighting in the best spot. I’m not sure if they designed it like this on purpose but boy does it work well!
