Winter Wedding Photography at Merriscourt
My first Winter wedding photography at Merriscourt in the Cotswolds. I’ve been in the Spring, summer and autumn so it was great to return to Merriscourt for a winter wedding. Especially with snow. It snowed so much I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make it home (and there were a few hairy moments on the way!)
It was my first wedding with snow (in twelve years) and honestly I’m a big kid in the snow – I love the stuff! I didn’t see anyone make a snow man but there was a snow ball fight.
I think the snow started falling just as the sun went down. One of the prettiest features of Merriscourt is the tree with festoon lighting in the courtyard. I doubt many wedding photographers have missed this shining beacon of prettiness and it looked great at dusk with the snow falling all around.
Other than the surprise snow fall my favourite part of the day was the evening dance floor. There was a little Jewish dancing – Rachel’s family came all the way over from the USA. No easy feat in the winter of 2021! I was really impressed. There was a UK v USA dance off which was great fun to photograph.
Anyway – enough waffle – here’s a little mashup of my winter wedding photography at Merriscourt.
