Deanne & Nick | Hotel Du Van Bristol | Wedding
Being asked to photograph DeAnne and Nick’s wedding in the Hotel Du Vin, Bristol was a real pleasure. I mean that. I know I was working but their friends and family helped make a great atmosphere and the day was a blast. DeAnne rarely stopped smiling and Nick laughed all day. It was great to see such a happy, well suited couple marry one another. DeAnne’s choice of dress was perfect.
We managed a photo shoot on Christmas Steps which was such good fun, and a really romantic setting. The weather was variable, but luckily the sunshine held in all the right places and we were able to get some superb shots in the city. It was my second time shooting at the Hotel du Vin and I really loved the intimate relaxed atmosphere of the building. The exterior is a great backdrop for group portraits with old stone work and a fabulous green door. DeAnne is very artistic and so the photographs were especially important to her and we had the great idea of doing a photo booth in the evening. Amazing!
Their first dance was really romantic and the small homemade details such as the wedding cake birds really made this a unique celebration.
