San Galgano

Beth & Tom | San Galgano | Wedding

San Galgano Wedding Photography

Here is Beth and Tom’s San Galgano wedding photography. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a few wedding in Tuscany recently, and this was another gem of a day.

Favourite moment for me involved a classic Fiat 500. One of the coolest wedding cars I’ve seen it was great to watch Beth and Tom arrive to their reception with Beth hanging out of the sun roof! They are two of the nicest people I’ve met (and so were their friends and family.) Wedding days go so quickly I’m amazed they had time to tell me to help myself to food at every opportunity. They were always up for any idea I had and were so relaxed on the day. They scheduled a good hour for couple photos at San Galgano which was a photography dream!

The wedding ceremony at San Galgano was amazing to photograph. I’m often asked what my favourite wedding venue to photograph is, and honestly, I don’t have one. But San Galgano ranks pretty highly as being one of the most unique. With it’s own ‘sword in the stone,’ amazing scenery, backdrop and open air wedding ceremony San Galgano blew my mind. The contingency ‘rainy’ option to have the ceremony inside was as beautiful as having it inside! I actually began ‘work’ (yes I have a real job!) by coming along to the pizza party the night before. Being able to meet everyone before the big day was great and looking around their wedding reception Villa Podernovo beforehand gave me plenty of ideas for the wedding day.

They had an unplugged wedding ceremony which was

Villa Podernovo

Their wedding reception at Villa Podernovo was SO nice. It is situated just 5 minutes away from San Galgano so Beth, Tom and their close family and friends got ready at the Villa. The rooms were full of light and space which gave me too many options. After the ceremony everyone came back, and dived in to drinks and canapés and relaxed in the courtyard. Thankfully the weather was what you’d expect and we all ate outside on a long trestle table under festoon lighting.

Their wedding day is still fresh in my mind and I could write about it. But I’m conscious the my gushing doesn’t paint the picture as well as the wedding photos. Before I go a couple of quick shout outs to Ben Walton the videographer. He was great company to work next to and share the experience. And for the brides, Beth got her gown from Ava Rose Hamilton.

As a side note, if you’d like to see more of my work as a Villa Podernovo wedding photographer have a look here.

Some of my favourite wedding photos have already made it to my destination wedding photography page. But enough talk – on with the best San Galgano wedding photography…
