Pippa & Joe | North Cadbury Court | Wedding
North Cadbury Court Wedding Photography
Pippa and Joe’s summer wedding at North Cadbury Court was out of this world fun. You might recognise them from my best of 2018 post because many of these photos are highlights of my year. Pippa greeted me with a big hug when I arrived in the morning to say ‘hi!’ When I went to see Joe he offered me a drink and made me feel really welcome. Photographing their wedding was a privilege – as well as a lot of fun! They are two of the most warm hearted people I have met.
They really personalised their day with a choir (Well Voluntary Choir as well as ringers from their friends and family.) A shout out to the caterers – cherry picked and it was great to see the Indie Killers on the dance floor again. I’ve been to a few North Cadbury Court weddings with these guys and they’ve rocked it every single time!
The personalisation continued with various wooden ducks which are something of a family tradition. First started by Pip’s grandfather who worked for the national trust. There was an ‘olympic post box’, family trees and home-made paper flowers. The crafts continued with a ‘huddersfield town’ FC coconut shy, homemade bunting and a nut bar! There were poems as favours in tribute to some of their family who have passed away. Decorated jars and family pictures dotted around the house. Pippa’s bouquet included some Ivy grown from the Ivy in her paternal grandmother’s wedding bouquet. The Desert buffet included lots of cakes and goodies that they had as children. They were labelled with childhood photos of Pip & Joe photos making/eating them.
The Ceremony
Their friend James composed some of the music in their ceremony which included a few modern classics. Their family, friends and choir sang which was a big surprise to the vicar who I think I saw singing along! I can’t write a blog post and not mention the fact that Joe is known to shed an occasional tear. When this happens I feel compelled to take a photo because emotive moments, and people reacting to them are what I love to capture.
Last but not least their dog Riley made it to the drinks reception for a few pictures and hugs!
We got really lucky with the weather, some great sun and we managed to sneak out just as the sun was disappearing behind the trees from some couple photos.
My favourite wedding accessory of 2018 was spotted at this North Cadbury Court wedding. A red baseball hat with the words ‘make weddings great again.’ See if you can spot it…
A massive thank you to Pip and Joe for having me to their wedding. It was a real highlight of the year and it couldn’t have gone any better. Here are the North Cadbury court wedding photos…
