I love photographing weddings here because the space does so much of the work. The light is gorgeous, the architecture adds drama without distraction, and everything flows naturally from ceremony to celebration. It’s a brilliant choice for couples who want a romantic, laid-back wedding with a strong sense of place.

I think I have to say that The Mount Without wedding venue is probably my favourite in Bristol. Located in the heart of the city it has so much character, history and stunning views of the city. As a Bristol wedding photographer I can’t wait to go back and I’m pumped to say I have a few more bookings there already in 2024. It’s top of my list of the best wedding venues in Bristol.

The Mount Without has everything you could want from a wedding venue, and then some. It’s an incredibly atmospheric space, full of character and quiet drama, sitting right in the heart of Bristol while still feeling wonderfully removed from the everyday.
Beyond how it looks, The Mount Without has a real sense of presence to it. It’s one of those places that just feels special the moment you walk in, which really matters when you’re choosing somewhere to spend one of the most important days of your life.
CEREMONY OPTIONS
One of the things I love most about The Mount Without is how special it feels for a ceremony. As a former church, it naturally carries that sense of reverence and drama, but it’s now a beautiful space for civil ceremonies that feel deeply personal rather than traditional.
The ceremony space is full of atmosphere, with soaring ceilings and incredible light that completely transforms the room as the day unfolds. I’ve photographed some truly unforgettable moments here, the kind where the room goes quiet, everyone leans in, and you can feel just how much the moment matters. It’s one of those places where ceremonies never feel rushed or routine, and that makes it a joy to photograph.
THE RECEPTION
